Medium crimson. From a grape, pelaverga, with which I am unfamiliar. Rustic nose with light spice, brambles and apple/plums/under ripe strawberries. Light with a hint of citrus acidity creating a nice tartness. Not much tannin, 13.5% alcohol. Interesting.

The lady at the SF Jug shop who knows her italian wines directed me to this as a lighter wine for during the week. It was lovely and she is always someone to be trusted with recommendations.

Really the Beaujolais of Piedmont, as it were. Light, crisp, delicate minerality. Not profound, but a really pleasant, accessible wine and excellent value.

Still a light red that is very easy with night of pasta.

Great simple wine. Good flavor, nice fruit and a bit of sourness. Definitely great buy for about $20
