Well paired with flank steak and roasted potatoes. Typical CA Cabernet, not well balanced, medium finish with a reasonable dose of oak. Black fruits with an earthy mid palate. Could easily stand to cellar longer.
- Purple color with medium forming legs and aromas of bell pepper, hay/straw, tobacco, black currant and prune. It's balanced and has flavours of blackberry, hay/straw, mushroom and raspberry with a medium/full body. Smooth texture with a long finish.
This bottle still had a lot of dark fruit (black cherries and ripe plums) with cigar box, cedar and a hint of menthol on the finish. Very lovely. While this did have a lot left in it, it is probably on the downslope and should be consumed within the next year or so.
