We purchased this wine after stumbling across the Roadhouse tasting room located in a light industrial commercial building near downtown Healdsburg. It was pouring rain, but I felt it my duty - my responsibility - to pop my head in and purchase some of their wines and am I ever glad I did.
First Roadhouse wine we had was their Zinfandel with Thanksgiving dinner and it was a huge success all around. Now I am sitting on some Grenache, more Zin, and this Pinot Noir. Curiosity finally got the best of me and we poured this one with a Coleman Nicole Pinot with dinner. Long story made short - BINGO! The Roadhouse was delicious.
As for detailed tasting notes, I don't have a much to say other than this is a well-crafted bottle of yummy with lovely cherry and the slightest hint of vanilla and spice making for some real sipping satisfaction.
I am looking forward to future wines from the guys at Roadhouse. Well done fellas!

Medium-deep ruby color; ripe, deep red cherry, spice and toasty aromas; rich, ripe and deep red cherry flavors with spice, cinnamon and earth notes; slight tannin and toasty oak; good structure and balance; long finish. Deep, spicy Pinot with the right structure to drink alone or pair with food. 96 cases made $49 Score: 92 PinotReport / Issue #63 Email: gswalter@pinotreport.com
