Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 86.3 points

  • Showing quite developed brownish color. Oak and orange zest nose. Overpowered by wood/oak, and some tannins, hardly any fruit, thin structure, 83pts. Better the 2nd day, less oak but notes of grilled sultanas and almonds, 85pts.
    Over its top.

  • Nose of red fruits, alcohol, leather and orange zest. Opens up on airing to add more richness and depth with raspberry/strawberry notes. Light bodied and thinnish texture on the palate - somewhat short but this improves with airing. One thing that does not change is a hard, woody, unbending quality which renders it too austere for my taste.
