Garnet with medium viscosity in the glass. Ripe cherry, fruit cocktail, cedar, citrus blossom and earth on the nose. Med-lite body with cherry, plum, chocolate and coffee on the palate. Meaty mid-palate. Pleasant grip. Long finish. Showing well with plenty potential.

Tasted at the winery. A quality, well made wine in a more subdued style. Nose of red cherry, cedar and forest floor. Palate adds lots of red and black fruit with strawberry, raspberry and some blackberry even. The mid-palate introduces cedar, earth and a touch of bacon moving toward the finish. Medium tannins and medium-high acidity. Delicate approach with silky, integrated mouth-feel. Enjoyable pinot, but felt the price moved beyond the value here.

Good wine, with some upside, potentially. Oak dominates right now. A little unbalanced, but overall really solid. Pretty red-fruited; balance gets mostly thrown off on the finish. Like it, but question the QPR. Try again in a year.

92. Beautifully balanced. Very under the radar red fruit that works seamlessly with lighter foods--or even on its own. Lovely mouth feel. Has everything over the top jammy CA pinots fail to achieve. Very, VERY harmonious. Good job here!
