Typical un oaked or barely oaked Cabernet Franc so at this stage the wine is losing some character, but that would be expected even from the Loire. Still fresh and light but also a bit past it's prime. Ideally consumed within the year it is released.

Really nice bottle. It took about 15 minutes to open up but then was well balanced acidic wine with a short finish. This is a great wine to drink during a hot summer night.

Not sure if 2 Lads will continue doing just cabernet franc. There last couple of vintages have been a blend with merlot. This wine is light and tart with a medium finish. It has nice balance, but you need to drink it quickly. It tends to lose its character quickly once exposed to the air. My experience with 2 Lads overall is that their wines are good but tend to lose structure quickly. This wine will not last beyond 2014.

I liked this wine. And I like this up-and-coming winery in Northwest Michigan, an area that is producing some excellent wines that unfortunately are not widely available, even within the state. Nice job. Very good (85.5).

Acceptable. Solid northern climate CF - tight, brightly acidic and short on the finish with severe stemminess.
