Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Decanted ~1 hour, consumed over ~1 1/2 hours. The cork was half-soaked and split, despite use of an ah-so. At first pour, this was showing a bit of browning, giving off mild whiffs of slightly cooked, somewhat-sour red fruit plus a bit of VA. Some aggressive swirling plus air time helped the VA recede (if not quite disappear), and otherwise the palate largely reflected the nose. This bottle didn't reveal any particular complexity or richness, but it still turned out to be a decent pairing with our grilled beef.
