Huge surprise. Was a "ringer" at a Cayuse tasting. Many thought it was the best of the bunch. Great balance, without the heavy black fruit and alcohol nose that some of the other wines had. May not have the structure to last that long.
Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of blueberries, black berries, tobacco, black pepper and cocoa powder. Flavors of black berries, black currants, pepper and cocoa. Medium acidity, firm tannins, full bodied. Just a tad hot on the palate. Drink or hold.
