sour cherry fruit fades after about 15 minutes, leaving black tea, leather, pepper (green and black). Past its prime, but the tannins and spice still compliment grilled meat.

Spicy, leafy, and raisiny with notes of Earl Gray tea, this has a dried fruit quality and a thick, rich profile that makes for a tough pairing with food. The abv says 14.5%. It's a bit cloying, but given the price, this has been a reasonable QPR. I don't think additional time will result in improvement. It's time to drink these up.

Again...pushing the envelope with pleasurable smokey notes of black plum and tea leaf, bordering on a raisiny profile that brings the entire prospect down a notch. Nice for the dough, but this is a 3-5 year wine at best.

Rich, flamboyant, and exotically perfumed, but just a bit overdone. Dark plums, black tea, licorice, figs, with a hint of prune. Nice QPR, but pushing the envelope.
