Deep bronzed gold in colour, and viscosity. Nose a little subdued, with honeysuckle sweetness and a whiff of kerosene. Flavours of just-ripe apricots, blending sweetness with some residual bite. Good length, initial sweetness, but surprises by drying a little through the mid-palate, with a long, persistent, assertive finish. Paired with a selection of Evansdale and Whitestone cheeses.

Nice sweetness for a New Zealand Reisling. Through me off by its sugar content. But that made it clear it was South Island, NZ. A nice straightforward Riesling with old world qualities and new world wine making
