It is now over the hill. Still pleasant - all earth and strawberries for me - nose has mature notes, but in the mouth the seams are coming undone. Drink up now if you got some left. But what a bargain! Caveat: not sure if this bottle was a 1er cru but otherwise the designation was the same (Auxey-Duresses, Les ecusseaux by the young and talented mr Boyer-Martenot.

High end style pinot from lesser known appelation by a predominantly white wine producer: underlining the important principle that you go with the good producer, not the fancy etiquette... what a discovery! Lovely pinot with fruity aroma and elegant structure as well as body and depth. Could perhaps even use a few more years to marry all elements together.

The wines of Yves Boyer-martenot (At the winery): Fine pinot nose, good grip, loses a bit of the structure at the finish but very nice overall.
