  • I enjoyed this more than my prior bottle; the oak seemed fully integrated and the nose while still young, showed lovely dark, ripe fruit with spice, damp earth, and just a hint of herbs. The palate has lovely depth and balance and despite being listed at 15% does not feel heavy or hot. Very good with ribeyes.

  • Very dark purple, and still overall seeming very young after almost a decade in bottle. The nose has plenty of dark fruit along with vanilla and some damp earth notes. It is pretty big on the palate, but the tannins are well integrated. Finishes well. This is definitely a little different than a Napa cab which is nice. Needs a big meal to balance. Could easily be aged another 15 years as it is quite young at this point.
