This is one of those good, everyday drinking wines. Nothing amazing, but enjoyable nonetheless. It was not the most complex or interesting wine, but this Meritage went well with a variety of foods, including cheese, steak, and pasta.

Garnet red hue. Smoky, tobacco nose. Spicy, oaky, medium body, twinge of vanilla, earth tone. Nice complement with food but not necessary. Overall enjoyable.

Nice wine for the price. Very enjoyable, good with/without food, nice meritage. 50% cab, 20% cab franc, 17% merlot, 13% perit verdot. Wish we had a lot more.

The nose is full of plum, herbal, black cherry and chalk. The palate evolved over 2 hours to reveal black fruit, herbaceous tones laced with mace, weighty cherry and soft minerality. Long graceful finish. Interesting and moderately complex.

Medium ruby color. Nice nose, floral, cherry, cassis. Adds some weight with air, medium body, drying tannins. Not a high vote for a QPR.
