Did not age particularly well. Hard to know if it was the natural Pinotage rubber-smoke funkiness or it was actually an off bottle, but we all poured it out after trying to drink a glass

First tasted on a beach, then on a terrace, but properly cooled on a rather warm day: Extraordinary nose of strawberry jam with an exciting sour touch of, say, cranberries. The dusty character of pinotage only came out after some airing but was nicely balanced by the sweet notes. Lots of acidity and well-integrated alcohol. Quite original and better (probabaly more expensive) than the South African pinotages I have tasted.

Skinless plum on the nose, dried black cherry palate, very smooth and balanced.
