  Roses are not meant to be complex and this one is not. It tastes of roses and hot chalky soil that is imbued with freshness. The Ionian Greeks of ancient Rhodes used to trade rose perfumes all around the Mediterranean in little flasks embossed with a rose; this is a wine to drink on a hot day dreaming of the sea and ancient Rhodes.
