Has a nice color, a shade between dark ruby and garnet; just light enough to see your fingers through. The aroma has lots of black cherry, a little raspberry, and a combination of caramel, toffee, and hints of chocolate on the tail end. There is also a faint forest floor aroma, reminiscent of decaying logs and leaves in late autumn (then again, I have spent all weekend in the woods mushroom hunting, so the aroma is vivid in my mind).
Fruity, slightly jammy, and fresh on the palate, with a medium body and young, but approachable tannins. This wine is full of black cherry jam, and fresh, wild blueberries. Underneath the fruit is slightly harsh oak, and a little toffee. The finish has blueberry cobbler, toffee, and chocolate.
There is decent acidity here, and the flavors are bold enough to pair with barbecue, but soft enough to go decently with a rich dessert. For the price, I am impressed.

Dark red, almost garnet, with large tears and long, very slender legs. The nose was full of fruit: raspberries, currants, raisins, cherries, pepper, and very vivid, clear notes of blueberry. Medium-full bodied, the wine was slightly sweet on the front of the palate with cherry and blueberry. It transfers smoothly to tart raspberry and wild blueberry on the mid-palate. The wine left a fruity, but slightly tannic finish. The tannins themselves are juicy and smooth, and the alcohol gives a slightly numbing effect on the tongue without dampening the palate or being noticeably hot.
This wine was both intriguing and delicious.

Fruit forward, simple, easy drinking; just this side of very good, and an okay value at under $15. Odd California blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Syrah, Merlot, and something else.

- It's somewhat balanced with a medium body. Round texture with a medium finish - Good everyday wine. Interesting blend for a California wine.
