  13th of 18 bottles, Albert's VT "Ruisseau de mon desir" - yellow; rich, honeyed, spicy now beginning to develop classic lychee and banana scents (reminiscent of his superb 96 VT); full, long and complex, rich, still quite sweet, mature but seems on an improving trend. At least fine (17.5/20).......please note this grower is massively under-rated and appreciated, he is the best producer by far of sylvaner I've come across in Alsace (or Germany for that matter) and his gewurz and Riesling (especially Brandluft, not Zotzenberg which is too floral for my taste) are not far behind, comments based on 30 years experience of his and Pierre's (Albert's dad) wines!

  La bouche est en revanche assez moyenne; attaque franche, agréable puis très rapidement l'amertume prend le dessus avant de laisser la place à une finale acqueuse.
