Very quality 1er cru with good age. Not much structure/tannins left but still very good flavor and has held up well. I wouldn't wait too much longer on these.

Darker ruby color. Clean, piercing nose of red raspberry, black cherry, anise, cinnamon, violets, and a bit of currant. Robust and remarkably primary on the palate yielding heady, almost pulpy layers of raspberry, mulberry and dark plum fruit supported by iron and earth. Coursing acidity and firm tannins leading to a long finish of stone and vibrant red fruit. Still adolescent on this showing, this wine was totally fun to drink with character to burn.

Powerful elegance. At 14 years in bottle, I wasn't sure how this would be drinking. Nose was reassuring, black cherry, plums, smoked raspberry, with background notes of farmyard, damp peat, forest floor, beeswax, toasted spices, and iron oxide. On the palate, fresh and generous fruit, but not overwhelming. There is a finesse here with a lovely minerality running alongside the dark red fruit. Finish is long, plenty of acidity, tannins still firm. Drinking beautifully.

Really liked this burgundy! Sour cherry fruit dominates, but also hints of plum and nectarine as well. Velvety mouth feel and nice balance start to finish. Color was still a nice dark red, with no hint of browning at all. At 12 years from the vintage we worried that it might be well past prime, but instead it seemed perfectly wonderful. Found this on a closeout at our favorite wine store and now wish we had bought the remaining bottles! It did not have the "dirt" taste that a recent 1st cru Gevrey-Chambertin had, an absence that we appreciate!

Just as good as last bottle with essentially the same experience. Lovely stuff.
