  • A la fin de son potentiel, encore bon mais à boire rapidement

  • Very nice, needs a bit of time to open.
I'll try a couple hours of decanting on next bottle

  • When I opened the bottle, there was a slight bit of cloudiness and grey tinge to the color that I feared did not bode well for what was to come. Despite that, the fruit was vibrant, the body well composed and balanced and overall, it presented itself remarkably well, indeed.

Deep ruby colored with a bit of cloudiness and grayish hue, medium bodied, nice balance and soft finesse, floral highlights and the black cherry a red berry fruits were bright and vibrant, turning to tones of tapenade, baking spices, and hints of leather, with medium, soft tannins and decent medium acidity.

  • 3 bottles identical notes. Fully mature, peak drinking, may hold 5+ years but unlikely to improve. Soft, fairly light, mix of black olive, garrigue, a ripassa- style raisin note in back. Good length but not deep. Lacks a bit of acidity. Interesting wine.

  • No decanting here. Starts off very burgandin, hints of chambolle style wine. As it eveolves you get more spice, meatiness to but it remains a medium to light wine with a sort of unbalanced sweetfruit core (on the nose too). NNo where close to the other 96s from CdP we tried like BArbe Rac. Maybe it has seen better days too. 88-89 dnt overpay.
Probably the only value for more or value close to reality wine that you can drink now in the whole Helene Darroze wine list...
