Good nose of blackberries and raspberries, not an in your face nose but very fruity in a subtle way.Mouth feel has some almost sour like strains going on, on the palate get some loam and the fruit continues with some added cherry, long finish where the tannins and oak show up. Day 2 really fell apart, probably should have drank this earlier

Full bodied with lots of fruit. Some spice and tarry notes. Good acidity with a little heat to it and some short tannins. Acidity faded a bit as the night went on. Definitely for hearty foods. Found it very good for the price.

More body than I am used to in an Italian Barbera, probably due to the vintage. The tastes and nose were fairly muddled and were lacking a notable element. The acidity was lacking a little. The biggest problem is that a barbera is normally crisp and refreshing for a red, but this one wasn't. This was just too much for a barbera, almost like a sangiovese, but lacking the nice crisp, sangiovese flavors. Pass on future purchases.
