Purchased at Wine Bank in San Diego where I can often find interesting older Cali Syrah. Crumbling cork (like most bought from there...hmmm) and lots of sediment. The wine clearly showing its age but very enjoyable and was a good choice. Dark fruits and spice and plenty of tertiary notes-savory meaty and Worcester sauce. Better with 30 minutes of air but fruit is starting to fade so this one is probably reached the other side of its peak, even for someone like me who loves older Syrah.

In head-to-head vs 2006 Qupe Bien Nacido Hillside Estate, lost out. This wine seemed one-dimensional. Maybe needs more time in the bottle.

Overblown, unbalanced Parkerized disappointment.
