  • Tasted over 2 days. Nose is a bit tight, but shows some typical Cab aromas. On the palate, there's a generous burst of juicy fruit and then some agressive, coarse tannins assert themselves. The tannins softened only very slightly the next day. Decent Cab flavors and good balance, but lacks depth. I don't agree with some previous notes that note over oaky flavors -- yes, there is definitely some vanilla oak showing, but nothing at all like many low-end wines that are oh so common. There are also no woody oak flavors that might indicate a preponderance of toasted American oak. This is coming from someone who usually is very sensitive to oak and hates overoaked wines. Overall, a bargain Cabernet that should drink quite well after a couple of years in the cellar to allow the tannins to soften.

  • started out subtle with fruit aromas, limited kick/bite for a cab, pretty low end taste, opening up a bit with some time

  • Smell of vanilla and oak lead to sweet berry overtones and a medium finish.

  • It's an 'Ok' bottle of wine. Expected a little more cause of the Napa Valley origin. I found it quit mellow right out of the bottle and it didn't change much over the next hour. Would I buy it again?....probably. Would I make a special trip to buy it again?....probably not.

  • This is extremely overoaked and fruity but after it opens up in the glass it becomes more enjoyable with less vanilla oak and more cassis, good tannins and juicy finish, still a little too sweet for me. Very oaky and sweet but if you don't mind this than this is actually decent wine. 86-87+
