Found this in the back of my cellar. Guess I would call it a dusty bottle, for those who remember the old Clos Du Val dusty bottle club. I sure miss those days. Having a turkey breast on the BGE tonight so I PNP. The other night I opened a 2009 Pride Chard and it was toast so I didn't expect much with this one. Well it is wonderful. A light lemon gold color and flavors that just explode on your palate. It sure brought back memories of the wine dinners at the winery.

Limited production. Medium golden color. Rich lemon and vanilla oak aromas. Medium-full bodied dynamic palate – but very nicely balanced – with flavors of apple, lemon, and a light minerality culminating in a long toasty finish. Tasted at the vineyard. A phenomenal Chardonnay that’s poised to get even better in the coming years!

I don't get a lot of Chardonnays but this was very approachable and not too oaky. Definitely a wonderful starter wine.

A bit lack luster for a "reserve". Well balanced with some oak showing but not a whole lot else. Perhaps it's in a funk right now.
