  • Opened for real this time; pnp. Similar notes to before, but with a bit of air and a bit of chill there is a bit more crunchy red fruit. Still savory and a bit earthy and now also a bit spicy and meaty like sautéed button mushrooms and meatloaf (?!?!) but definitely more ripeness present now and definitely more enjoyable (somehow I am ok with the meatloaf note). Not quite a “great wine of the world” but if decanted and kept on ice and maybe paired with a roasted chicken and potato dish I think it would make for quite an enjoyable evening for a few years at least.

  • From Coravin; color is light but not crazily so and not obviously past prime. The nose is very muted with hints of non-descript red fruits and some vague sense of earth. Palate is a bit more expressive, definitely still alive with good acidity and more savory rather than fruity notes. Ripe summer tomato, grape leaf, slightly underripe raspberry. It's enjoyable from the standpoint of drinking something with significant (for the Finger Lakes) age, but it's probably not something I would crave.

  • Light color. The nose shows aromas of cherry, strawberry, tomato leaf, underbrush and a hint of minerals. This is medium light bodied on the palate with ok concentration but a lack of finesse. The medium length finish features high acidity.
