This is a high-alcohol Paso Robles Zin. Nose is a little hot (due to the high ABV) but not overwhelming. Good raspberries and other red fruits, spice, pretty typical of PR. It compares favorable to the '07 50/50 Steinbeck/Wine Bush - I haven't had this 60/40 blend, but the difference seems pretty subtle. Year after year, Eberle Zins are a great value.

Paired wonderfully with moderately spicy chili. The '08 is a bit lighter and less jammy than the '07, which I think I prefer. Overall, it's just one of my very favorite Zinfandels!

15.5% alcohol... WAY Hot...even if you want to get smashed, it is burning. Drank 1 glass then let it sit for an hour. 2nd glass was better. Then drank the rest the next afternoon and it was much better. Jammy, good body and great flavor. Need to decant next bottle and be ready for a suckerpunch.

90+. Absolutely delicious. Dense fruit with plenty of spice. Medium body, well balanced.

Nice PR Zin. Just needs time to open up air out and the heat to burn off. Jammy raspberry body. Full and round.
