  Heady nose of mostly vanilla oak with some black cherry and a touch of pepper. Nicely balanced with a medium to thick mouthfeel. Cherry flavors forward palate, spicier mid palate. Unremarkable finish. Might need a few more years to evolve some complexity, but drinking well now.

  Vanilla, anise, plum and blackberry on the nose. Medium bodied with a solid tannic backbone and decent integration. Rich cherry flavors amidst traces of currant and peppery spice for the palate. A short and somewhat weak finish kept this from being excellent. Otherwise an impressive table wine which really helped improve a somewhat gamey medium rare rump steak.
