No formal note, but this was slightly, albeit just slightly, disappointing. The fruit had dried out a little and there was a lack of freshness. Nothing particularly untoward but I suspect a couple of years too old. Maybe not the best vintage in McLaren vale? Probably also suffered being served straight after another much more impressive wine.
