  • Surprisingly good for the purchase price! Mellow on the tongue with just a hint of licorice aftertaste. The kind of wine that you like to mull around a bit in your mouth and let your tongue revel int its mild complexities. I wouldn't suggest pairing this wine with anything to heavy or overly garlicky or spicy as it will overwhelm the fruit and pull the alcohol up to the front of your palate. Goes GREAT with Gouda, a mild brie, or a VERY mild cheddar accompanied with stone ground wheat crackers and maybe a smidgen of Grey Poupon or honey mustard. Strawberries and light red seedless grapes would also enhance the flavors of this soft wine. I can't see it getting any better with time as it is primarily a table wine so you don't need to store it for long to enjoy its simple bouquet.
