  • Sweet cherry and glycerin nose; palate is slightly overextracted cherry, after 2 hrs a little better balanced, with acidity to keep fruit in check; oak well integrated; no garrique; mid-palate some smoked meat flavor and texture. Long, nice finish. This North Berkeley Imports selection traditionally is a more Burgundian version of CdP than most CdP but not as balanced as I recall the 2001 recently.

  • A bit young, shows a lot of promise. Earthy and fruity with berries and hint of tobacco and chocolate. Should get better with age.
