  • Beautiful round, somewhat rich wine. Very long and mouth-filling. Very long legs. Superb.

  • I love music - rock, jazz, blues, classical - and for some reason a loud Led Zeppelin song came to mind whilst sipping on this lovely wine. Why? Listening to When the Levee Breaks and just thinking how great that song is as "harrowing blues" - and how supreme it is to drink this vintage, high in acidity but with Meursault richness. It had been an open bottle for one week, in my fridge, and has improved since when I first tried it (see earlier note), when it was downright reduced. What great news to not have a premox issue with white Burgundy. Au contraire, this is a light lemon color, with medium legs. The intense nose is now more complex with touches of nectarine citrus, acacia, fresh yellow and green melon, with an almost red fruit brambly aspect and wet stone. The palate is brisk but with one week open has calmed down and let loose, with grapefruit verve and more citrus that keeps the focus crystal clear among softer expressions of chamomile and honeysuckle. Lots of lift on the medium plus to long finish. And hey! This was not too pricey. Going to get some more.... And you should too. PS- Has anyone tried the 2010?

  • So the color of the wine is a bit dark but it needs air. After being open since 9 hours an initial matchstick aspect blew off - reduction - and now we have grapefruit peel, lime juice and wet stone. This is a lovely "mineral" Meursault that is not as evidently rich as one would imagine. The mid palate has a creamy aspect. Medium plus body and medium plus finish with a pleasing juicy green apple lift. The vintage 2008 is marked by high acidity but all well integrated. I should have bought more of this !

  • Just taking on a light butteriness but still very cool, citrusy and direct. Nice volume and shape with tremendous cut on the finish.

  • Still way too oaky for the time being.
