  A very decent value priced Merlot. Not going to get marks for complexity and depth, but varietally correct, clean and well made. The color is on the light side. A little bit of dirty sock on the nose with some red raspberry fruit. Not quite medium bodied. Adequate but not overpowering fruit like cranberry, and especially cherry for a wine this light in color. There are more of those enhancing non fruit flavors on the side than you would expect for a wine in this price range. Very well balanced. Oak, acid and tannins are in evidence, just barel The finish has some lanolin and vanilla with the cherry kool aid flavor. A vast overachiever for this kind of money.

  Very good Merlot for the price, with rich plum and currant aromas. These are evident in the flavors, too, which are nicely balanced between spice and fruit. A reminder of the versatility or Merlot, and that the grape can be great if treated well.
