This event was the monthly group featuring all levels of wines from the Cote de Beaune. About 23 of us gathered over 3 tables and enjoyed some nice wine and good food.
Lighter-medium red color. Splash decanted and back into bottle. Drank 1+ glass over 60+ minutes. Very nice evolved nose with lovely dried earth elements, wispy florals, cherry. The palate is holding well, elegant, cherry, cranberry, elegant, integrated, minerals, and earth. Medium plus finish. Very enjoyable. 91+pts.

Very dark red color. PNP, drank 1 glass over an hour. This kept getting better in the glass through the evening. Really pretty floral nose, leather, some funk, damp earth, mushroom. The palate has medium body, leather, earth, minerals, funk, some dark cherry fruit, with firm tannins on the finish. 91+pts.

Very dark red color. PNP, drank 1+ glass over 90 minutes. The nose starts off with some spicy wood qualities out of the gate, cedarbox, berry, black cherry, dry earth. The nose becomes very fruity and ripe with time in the glass and shows a touh of burnt rubber. The palate is deep and full bodied, very concentrated, lush fruits, berry, cherry, currants, wood, fairly well integrated tannin, and a really long finish. Shows very good promise and is quite enjoyable now with some air. 92(+)pts.

Very dark red color. PNP, drank 1 glass over 90 minutes. Thanks to Mike for popping his backup bottle just for the heck of it! This was really fun to drink even in its youth. Very primary with gorgeous fruit, silky and full bodied, lush, berry and deep dark fruits, spice and a long finish. Oh so pretty...

Very small pour. This was a little different, woody and kind of soapy on the nose (and no it wasn't the glass), the palate was briary, minerals, darker fruit, spicy, oak. Preferred the Caillerets.

NV Domaine des Terres Dorées (Jean-Paul Brun) Crémant de Bourgogne Charme Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs 88 Points
France, Burgundy, Crémant de Bourgogne
Light gold color. Drank 1 glass over 20 minutes. This was pretty nice overall, green apples and some citrus, tart. Didn't really strike me as extra brut.

NV Roederer Estate Brut Anderson Valley 88 Points
USA, California, North Coast, Anderson Valley
Light-medium gold color. This was good, about what you would expect in general, but not as good as some previous examples. Apple, pear, but more subtle on the palate, a bit chalky on the palate, not quite as polished tonight. But it is an awfully good QPR in general. 88+pts.
