Winefield's pre-sale tasting: For me this wine showed its age, missing the necessary fruit to show fraîcheur (maybe it was this specific bottle); still enoyable.

Beginning browning here. On the nose there's wild strawberries, sous bois and some furniture polish. Later there's also a phase of fresh raspberries, curiously enough. In the mouth it's a bit thin to begin with, but gaining more fruit and thus better balance with time and temperature. Certainly on the way down, but still giving significant pleasure. A wine on the border between very good and excellent. But don't keep it much longer!

Almost syrupy nose. Berries, wet wood, snappy acidity and some funky forest floor. Some pertroleum notes at the end. Brilliant, clear garnet with a touch of bricking on the edge. Bought from a shop in Albany NY, seems like it would last many more years -

4/13/2022 - FiggySmalls Does not like this wine:
pleasant medium-plus nose of oxidized fruit and red punch.
quite soft on the palate.
low acid
doesn't smell like pinot or any(where) in particular--new world or old. overall, tired and non-descript.
storage conditions=unsure but bottle and cork are in great condition

Wonderful nose. Light on fruit. Well structured. Sour cherry, mild grass. Lingering finish.
