Deep garnet. Intense cooked cassis aromas. Still a bit of bite from the tannins, while having flavours of very ripe black cherry and chocolate and tar, as if a fine Blackforest cake, then cinnamon and nutmeg. Finish seemed slightly lacking though, but in general an enjoyable wine
Deep purple, with thick legs. Strong dark floral aromas and flavours, as well as ripe blackcurrant, then a hint of toast, black pepper, cinnamon and cloves, suggesting that at least a bit of French oak may have been used. Medium length
Deep garnet, with significantly fading edges. Full bodied, yet soft tannins, with herbal flavours, ripe black cherry and tar, as well as a bit of smokes, and a little bit of savoury meats towards the back. Pretty lengthy and complex. Nice!
