Red fruited with s touch of vanilla. Some smoke too. There's a slight tightness/tautness on the palate. Good acidity. Perfectly decent but needs some more time. ***

A bit more savoury on the nose, a little more old school. I prefer this slightly more rustic style. Appealing though not overly complex. Mid ***

Dark red fruit, very smooth, polished oak on the palate. Lacks the finesse of the 08. Classy nose though. ***

Slightly brighter red fruit on the nose here. Some glossy oak. Nice acidity and a bit of bite. Redder fruited and more elegant than the 09. ***1/2

Very glossy, smooth, oaky Jose. Sleek and expensive. Quite rounded on the palate, Rupert suggests slightly jammy buy I think it's a lack of backend rather than too much front. ***

Slightly plusher but similarly glossy nose to the 07. Very plush, almost lush on the palate. Quite dense REs fruit. Not a flashy as I was expecting. Very decent. ***

Quite desk fruited. Deep and quite lush. Good acidity. Rounded and quite mouth filling, but surprisingly short. Pretty tight and closed. *(***)

Similar nose to the 05. A little leaner with a touch of coal tar. Similar leanness on the palate. I can see the vintage character but as a counterpoint to the lusher style it's quite appealing. ***

02 cork 03 label! Very similar to the normal 02. Good red fruit and a freshness too. Almost lighter than the other bottle, must be the 02 too. ****

Dark, lush, polished nose. A freshness to the attack coupled with a mid-palate density. Lovely. ****

Quite cool (temp). Mellow and meaty, a little less mineral and more earthy. Nicely mature. Lacks some depth and complexity but there's harmony and interest here. ***

Far more density on the nose. Very polished and classy. Far more substance and line here. Flows seamlessly from attack to finish. Complete. Red fruited, a touch smokey, full and quite fresh. ****

Actually a little clipped and less expressive initially. There's proper GC density though. Quite grippy still, fine, slightly grainy texture. It's a little more relaxed than the 07 which is possibly a little too 'made up' by comparison. ****

Very silky and poised and polished (in a non-confected sense). Refined and classy. Fine grained, silky, dark red fruit. Long. A touch hot as it warms up but a class act. ****1/2

Quite rich and rounded on the nose. Ripe and balanced with a sense of reasonable dosage. Similar on palate. Rounded, quite generous, no hard edges. Possibly lacks some zip. ***
