Flight 1 (1 Note)

  • 1993 Château Langoa Barton 88 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien

    Just opaque, not much age.
Still fruity on the nose, with animal notes, pleasant and inviting.
Delicious, soft tannins, cooked fruit, on the cusp.

Flight 2 (1 Note)

  • 1998 Château Langoa Barton 92 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien

    Quite dense and youthful.
A reluctant nose, there's an attractive perfume including tobacco.
Leathery fruit, soft tannins, warm in the mid palate, pretty long - maybe wait to open the next in 5 - 10 years.

Flight 4 (1 Note)

  • 1999 Château Langoa Barton 91 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien

Dense and older looking than the 98.
Attractive nose, fruit and a hint of oak.
A beautiful wine with plenty of life, plenty of tannin, a lovely mid palate and great length.

Flight 7 (1 Note)

  • 2004 Château Langoa Barton 91 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien

    Intensely dark, very little age.
Eventually the nose is rewarded with some fruit. Very fruity in the mouth, exceedingly tannic, far from its peak, very long.
