    Clean pale lemon straw color. Clean in the nose with medium intensity, aromas of grape, pineapple, mango, ripe peach, youthful.
    On the palate the wine is off-dry (5-6 gr), medium body and intensity, med/med+ acidity, med alcohol, copying the nose with pineapple, mango and grape, ending with a med finish. Good overall quality, inexpensive, to drink now, to have by the glass, a pleasant everyday wine that serves its purpose well.

    Clear with med lemon color. On the nose, the wine shows medium intensity, still sone hints of green character (which is remarkable), ripe pineapple, knettle, light kerosene notes, like an aged entry level kabinett, developed. Very clever to have an old vintage of their "simple" wine too. Lucky for them it showed extremely well.
    Off dry, medium body and intensity, acidity and alcohol, showing ripe pineapple and green apple, pear, white berries, medium finish.
    Very good quality, ageind gracefully, medium price, to drink now

  • 2012 Papargyriou Sauvignon Blanc Unfiltered 87 Points

    Wine side info: The wine has spent 4 months in old 225lt barrels, 55% S.Blanc, 45% Assyrtico.
    The color is hazy and pale lemon.
    The nose is clean, med- intensity, an earthier version with more light grassy notes, white/green fruits pulp, green apple and pear, youthful.
    The wine is dry, med+ body, med intensity, meidum+ acidity and med alcohol, with green apple and pear character, thick with a faint oaky finish.
    Very good quality, med price, drinking now but can hold

  • 2013 Papargyriou Muscat Late Harvest 88 Points

    Clear pale lemon color.
    The nose is clean, med + intensity, aromas of ripe grapes, melon, apricot marmelade and blossom, youthful.
    The wine is sweet (80gr), medium+ body, med intensity, acidity and alcohol, flavors of apricot marmelade, ripe peaches and melon medium finish, nicely balanced and not cloying which might higher acidity than first thought.
    Very good quality, inexp/med price, drink now but can hold

    Wine extra info: 4 months in new 500lt barrels
    A less than clear pale lemon color.
    The nose is medium intensity, lime juice, tropical fruits, pear, ripe green apple, with a light walnut and almond hint, youthful.
    The wine is dry, medium body, medium+ intensity and acidity, medium alcohol, showing green apple, unripe pineapple, a strange pharmaceutical note, white berries, "green" redcurrant and apricot, medium+ finish.
    Very good quality, med price, obviously too fresh but shows promise

    Clean and pale lemon color. The nose is clean, medium intensity, grassy and underripe melon, peach and apricot, overtly green, youthful. The wine is dry, medium body, intensity and alcohol, med+ acidity, pear and green apple, med finish.
    Good quality, med price, to drink now.

    I can't remember the last time I tried this wine and I haven't missed anything, technically nothing wrong with it, but boring beyond repair

    Very good quality, medium price, too fresh

    The wine is a blend of 50% Agiorgitiko and the rest Nebbiolo, Touriga Nacional and Mavrodafni.
    The color is clear, pale cherry red.
    The nose is clean, meidum intensity, red cherry notes, red berries and currants, blossoms and strawberries, youthful.
    The wine is dry, medium body and intensity, medium + acidity and medium alcohol, showing some tannins, with red cherry and strawberry with a few drops of caramel, ending with a med finish.
    Very good effort, med price, drinking now but can hold for 1-2 years. Finally a different rose

    Clear, med- intensity with green apple being the main feature here, after the numbness of the low temp left, peach and melon came up, youthful. In the palate, the wine is dry, medium/medium+ body, medium intensity, acidity and alcohol, dense with melon and peach, more opulent than what the nose suggested, medium finish. Very good overall quality, inexpensive, to drink now.

  • 2012 Skouras Viognier Eclectique 88 Points

    Clear, medium lemon color.
    The nose is clean, showing medium intensity, complex with ripe peach and apricot at first, a light oak touch with walnut and almond bits on vanilla, youthful.
    The wine is dry, medium body, intensity and alcohol, med/med+ acidity strangely enough, nose copying the palate, although the oak is far more apparent but then again the wine is really fresh, dense lime juice finish of med+ lenght.
    Very good quality, premium price, drinking now but can hold. Marking a bit low for now but I'm sure it can only go up in the future.

    Clear pale lemon color. The nose is clean, showing medium intensity with fresh citrus fruits and lemon leaves, still a bit shocked and closed, youthful.
    The wine is dry, med acidity and alcohol, medium+ acidity and intensity, dense with thick citrus and pineapple flavors, balanced, with a limey medium+ finish.
    Very good quality, premium price, drinking now can hold.

    The wine is dry, med/med+ body, med intensity and acidity, med+ alcohol (14.50%) showing ripe fruit character with apricot marmelade, spicy notes, light alcohol burn, medium oaky finish.
    Very good quality, high price, drinking now but can hold, alcohol being an issue

    The wine is a blend of 55% Assyrtico, 45% Savatiano, with 50% of it spending 4 months in new oak, malolactic as well in there.
    Clear, medium lemon color.
    The nose is clean, med/med+ intensity, nutty, pastry, almond and walnut, lime, ripe citrus fruits, youthful.
    The wine is dry, mediun body, intensity, acidity and alcohol, spicy oak, with walnut and almond, peach and apricot, med/med+ finish, for food and to have by the glass.
    Very good quality, med price, to drink now

    The nose is clean, medium intensity, typical varietal character with fruits and floral notes, peach , with a pleasant herbal undertone, youthful.
    The wine is dry, medium- body and acidity, med alcohol and med- intensity, light touch in the palate, airy, fresh and light fruit notes, strangely enough though it gives a promise that it will get better, medium finish.

    This the sweet wine of the winery, made from 85% Savatiano and 15% Aidani, grapes dried for 6 days under shadow, fermented in amphorae and tanks.
    The wine has a clear, pale/med lemon color.
    The wine has a clean, medium intensity nose, reminding of pulp rather than slices of fruits, green apple, light peach jam notes, youghtul.
    The wine is sweet (85gr), medium+ body and acidity, medium intensity and alcohol, peach jam again, with tin pineapple, grapey finish, spicy and well structured, only a bit sticky.
    Very good quality, med/high price, drink now

    The wine is made from Roditis variety, it was from the 2013 vintage and half of it was vinified in amphorae.
    Clear pale lemon color.
    The nose is clean, medium intensity, light fruits notes but also floral, peach, mint, rosemary, a fine thin raisin layer, youthful.
    The wine is dry, med+ body, mediun intensity, acidity and alcohol, rosemary and peach again, with hints of tropical fruits, thyme and lemon leaves,lime juice and a spicy med+ finish.
    Very good quality, inexpensice, drinking now but can hold.

    Clean, medium+ intensity, dense nose filled with ripe fruits, quince, line, pineapple, almond and walnut, mineral and youthful.
    The wine is off-dry (8gr), med+/full body and intensity, medium+ acidity and high alcohol (15%), vanilla sweetness, walnut and spicy oak (30 months), ripe peach, tin pineapple, well structured, dense, oaky, honey and a little burn from the alcohol in the med/med+ finish.
    Outstanding quality, premium price, drinking now but can definately hold.

    The wine is dry, medium body and intensity, medium+ acidity and med alcohol, med tannins, red cherries, a slight alcohol burn, a bit thin in the palate, redcurrant and thyme med finish.

    Very good quality, high price, barrel sample in essence so still fresh, but show great promise.

    The wine is dry, med+ body and med intensity, med acidity and alcohol, the tannins are med+, dense and opulent, with black berries, clove, smoked meat, med+ finish.
    Very good quality, high price, too youg, barrel sample so fresh as hell.

    The wine is dry, medium+ body and intensity, medium+ alcohol (14.50%) and med acidity, tannins med+, the palate shows liquorice, alcohol burn, chocolate, blackcurrant, black cherries, plums and nutmeg with clove in the med+ finish, dense and jammy overall.
    Very good quality, premium price, drinking now but can hold.
    All the extraction and fat one could expect from a premium priced wine made by M.Rolland

    Clear pale cherry red color.

    The wine is dry, medium+ body, medium intensity, acidity and alcohol (14%), tannins med/med+ and although they feel big they are starting to mellow, alcohol bite, plum, blackcurrant (?), opulent, dense, liquorice in the medium finish.
    Very good quality (although doesn't feel very typical xinomavro in the palate), medium/high price, drinking now but can hold.

    This is a blend of Mavrodaphni and 5% Tsaoussi (white variety). The name derives from an old label and is blend of Alchemist and the greek word XYMOS (juice), I wrote it as alchimikos rather than alxymikos so non greek could actually pronounce it !

    Clear pale salmon color.
    The nose is clean, with med/med+ intensity, red cherry, red currants, strawberry, caramel in the youthful nose.
    The wine is dry, med body, med+ intensity, med/med+ acidity, med alcohol (14%), palate copying the nose in the fruit character with some mint freshness, alcohol notes too (which is strange for rose wines),tannin hints, balanced, med/med+ finish, a rose to have with food rather by the glass.
