Yono's Restaurant, Albany, NY

My regular Albany group met to taste Premier Cru White Burgundy from the villages of Chassagne and Puligny.
To my knowledge, all wines were opened at the beginning of the tasting, which ran from about 7 to 10 pm.
Amuse Bouche: An oyster with capers.
A pain-seared North Atlantic Scallop with asparagus spears and vin blanc sauce.
Roasted Montauk Black Bass with two halves of a fingerling potato and purple scallion beurre blanc.
A slice of roasted veal loin with two purple cauliflower florets, summer vegetable couscous, and sauce Béarnaise.
Local farmhouse & artisanal cheese with local wildflower honey, toasted nuts, baguette, and fig compote.
A lot of nice wines and some really outstanding ones. Surprisingly, not one pre-mox'ed. Still, a lot of variability.
2006 Joseph Drouhin Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières 96 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
Darker color than the others in the flight, which raised the concern of pre-mox, but it's not here! Gorgeous nose of tropical fruit. Rich and complex in the mouth. Did I hit my WOTN one wine #1? Just so complex and delicious. Must be right at it's peak. Tied for Group #3 WOTN.

2007 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs Gains 92 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
Light, crisp, lemony vanilla nose. Tart, rich, young. Needs time for the oak to integrate. 92-?? Tied for Group #1 WOTN.

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet
Buttery nose. Not much but oak and acid. Good body. Maybe it needs time?

2013 Domaine / Maison Vincent Girardin Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles 93 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
Complex nose of butter and minerals. Tart, cirsp, young. Already delicious, but I think there is more to be had with a few more years of age.
