deep gold. oxidative nose. has a bit of that methanol scent old whites get. medium bodied with still buoyant acidity and plenty of heat showing. dehydrated pineapple, wood, and caramel in varying moments on the palate. this bottle was over the hill but still giving some pleasure.

Slight oxidative notes and color but in my opinion, probably at its peak, hint of sweetness and integrated very well. paired well(and had very similar characteristics to my scallops)

Golden color. Has fino sherry undertones, but not spoiled. Still has a fresh energy. Other flavors include quince, butterscotch and citrus. Ready to drink now and for another 3-5 years or so.

WCC Chassagne and Puligny Premier Crus Blind (Yono's Restaurant, Albany, NY): Darker color than the others in the flight, which raised the concern of pre-mox, but it's not here! Gorgeous nose of tropical fruit. Rich and complex in the mouth. Did I hit my WOTN one wine #1? Just so complex and delicious. Must be right at it's peak. Tied for Group #3 WOTN.

The wine continues to drink well but the cork on this bottle, like my other bottles was very difficult to extract. When I first opened this bottle there was a definite acidic odor but this dissipated and did not affect the flavor. At first the wine was closed but with a little air exposure the wine opened up -- it was was very creamy with a touch of minerality. the color was still a lovely light gold with no evidence of oxidation

The wine is still drinking fine but we could not easily extract the cork and had to pick it out in pieces. After filtering into a decantor the wine was light gold with no signs of oxidation. The wine was fruit forward with a touch of "cream." There was no minerality.

Limited experience with white Burgundy and not much of a Chardonnay fan, but this was a superb wine. Paired with a Comte cheese course followed by grilled pork chops, this wine showed it's versatility. Full bodied and lush while maintaining balance and finish. Tropical notes dominated the palate, but the greatest quality of this wine was it's mouthfeel, especially after it came up to room temperature.

Very classical Puligny- mineral, floral, white and juicy fruit. Just seems to lack a little excitement - I must confess the humble Domaine Leflaive Bourgogne blanc of the same vintage is a much racier, more mouth watering and expressive wine. When it comes to Burgundy - producer, producer, producer....

London Cellartracker III; 7/24/2010-7/26/2010 (The Hide Bar, London): Young as a pup with a lot of fat but packed full of class and promise Good minerality and tension between the structure and fruit. Butter, lemon, melon and masses of terroir. Excellent. Needs another 2-3 years.

Wine Warehouse Grand Tasting. Nose of dried flowers, citrus, minerals, and oak, more of the same on the palate, needs 4 years to peak, medium/big body, well done, floral notes on the mid palate, flavorful and long finish.

One of several Drouhin wines I got to taste. The wine is just a pleasure to drink, great now and will get better with age. It gave very open aromas of vanilla, citrus, tropical fruits and mineral. It had tastes of mineral, citrus and vanilla. This wine is balanced and begging to be paired with the right food to make it even better than it already is. The 93 points I gave it was based on the wine by itself.

Dark yellow, big prefumed nose of butterscotch, spice and papaya, full-bodied palate with layers of cured meat, and complex candied fruits and well balancing acidity, long complex finish

Drouhin 2006 preview and friends: This wine really delivered. Gorgeous nose really explodes with honey, butter, floral notes, and apples. Extremely tasty and mouthwatering. Touch of the tropical, and a phenomonal full mouthfeel. Star of the whites. 92-95

Joseph Drouhin '06 Burgundy Preview (Specialty Imports): Favorite of the lineup by far, and usually one of my favorite Drouhin whites. The nose is a bit restrained, but offers steely minerality, high acid citrus, with a clean herbal streak. Beautifully balanced. Moderately rich, medium-full body with grilled pear, toast, vanilla, and obvious oak. Finishes spicy and minerally. Very nice, and will evolve.

Very nice wine with minerals on entry, some spice mid palate, and long honeyed finish. Seems fully mature but should last a number of years.
