We all sent a shortlist of a few of our best red wines to the person organizing this tasting. Then we voted for which of the wines we wanted to be in the tasting. The whites were free. Everyone had to bring a wine of which he thought was worthy of the tasting.
We tasted all wines blind one by one and in the meantime we had a great dinner.
It was a fabulous evening.
Aromatic bouquet. On the palate pleasant sweetness, minerals, good acidity and a bit fat. 93 – 94

In the bouquet beautiful earthy and autumn impressions. On the palate the same impressions, tertiary, but also still so powerful and complex. The acidity is lovely fresh and the tannin has in fact still a good bite for another decade or so. Fantastic wine! Blind scored it the same as my previous occasion.

Dark berries and beautiful oak in the bouquet. On the palate a juicy wine with good freshness, beautifully round, but firm tannin, oak and bitterness. Beautiful and juicy wine which is still in its infant stage. I have only one bottle which I plan to drink somewhere in the 2030’s. For now 95 – 97++

Beautiful Syrah bouquet and also in the mouth. The alcohol shows a bit, but for the rest the wine is so full bodied and perfect so you forget about that. Delicious and a great end of this fantastic evening.
