I suspect this is starting to go into decline as the herbal and asparagus elements noted earlier are threatening to dominate as the acidity and grip start to fade. Still more than OK (if pricey for the quality) but for drinking soon. Till 2024. 92-

Sampled at Oinoscent, courtesy of a customer, tasted blind -/- The wine shows fully developed character, overripe to dried stone fruit, quince, heavy floral notes, spicy and earthy, loaded with almond/walnut notes and layers upon layers of butter. Palate shows med to full body, again full on buttery, walnut/almond, weak in the midpalate. Feels tired old Bordeaux but could be any old white

Two bottles with identical characteristics for family Sunday dinner (gammon). Green/gold. Aromatic dried stoned fruit and a lashing of citrus. Integrated vanilla oak, gentle viscosity and plenty of green field-herb with a touch of asparagus. Pebbly. Weighty with a long dry finish. Superb if somewhat pricey for the quality (viz.Domaine de Chevalier, SHL et al). At its peak and say for another 5 years.
