Popped and poured. Unfiltered, deep garnet-tawny color. Deep, warm nose with some blood and iron, some soil, warm fruit.
On the palate classic Pommard, deep and dense, powerful and round. But also beautifully balanced, fresh and juicy, lively acidity and velvet tannin. At full peak, but no hurry. 93-94

Popped and poured. Clear, deep ruby garnet color. Fine and elegant nose with some artificial, put-on fruit.
On the palate certainly more elegant and lean as the Pommard, but everything seems to be put-on and rather artificial. Medium complex, some unclean bitte notes. Medium+ finish. Certainly a very good wine, but no GC at all. 89-90

Popped and poured. Clear, deep ruby-garnet color. Intense, deep and smoky nose with lots of strawberries and fresh herbs.
On the palate very fresh and young, ethereal and herbaceous, fine strawberry, some raspberry, very good structure and texture. Noticeable toasting, but not too much. Long, fruity finish. German Pinot at its very best and not yet at full peak. 93+

Popped and poured. Clear, deep glowing ruby color. Very smoky, mineral nose with some iron and fine red fruit.
On the palate not as precise as the Huber, still very young and not fully developed. Oak still dominant. Mineral, balanced, juicy, very fine tannin. Wait 5+ years. 92+

From Magnum Popped and poured. Clear, medium golden color with a reddish hue. Very dense and smoky nose.
On the palate dry, wonderful salty mineral core, zesty bitter notes. Juicy, complex and with a good tension and pressure. Very long finish. Drinks nicely now, but will continue to improve. Really nice! 93+

From a perfect bottle. Popped and poured. Clear, glowing deep garnet-tawny color. Fully developed nose, herbaceous, fine red fruit, no significant sign of oxidation at all. Gets even more complex with air.
On the palate also very surprising! Acidity is still wonderfully integrated. Not much sign of oxidation or lovage. Sure, it is a bit thin/unbalanced at the mid-palate, but other than that it is fresh, elegant and lively! Juicy, some tobacco and leather, fine sweetness, present tannin. Fine and elegant finish. Wonderful experience! 92-93

Popped and poured. Did not take much notes on this wine, because compared to the amazing 1955 it was simply boring. Good for sure, but nothing special. Probably around 88-90.

From a perfect bottle. Popped and poured. Clear, youthful medium garnet with a tawny rim. Nose with lots of barn and animal scents.
On the palate fresh and youthful, but with weird bitter notes and lots of barn. I would say, no cork taint, but simply unclean cellar work. A bit unbalanced and bitter. Drinkable, but not with fun. Hard to rate.

Popped and poured. Clear, deep garnet with fine sediment. Fine red fruit, high acidity, some weird bitter notes. Probably a suboptimal bottle. Ok, but nothing special.

Popped and poured. Clear, deep ruby color. Nose with lots of primary fruit (plum), deep.
Compared to the 1989 it was simply... fruity. Warm fruit, plum amarena, creamy texture, almost oily, a bit chubby, young. Needs lots of time to melt down the baby fat. Give it another decade. 89-90+

Popped and poured. Unfiltered, deep garnet-tawny color. Classic ripe BDX nose, tobacco, leather, barn.
Only 12,5% abv. Mellow tannin, medium+ acidity. Fine red fruit, espresso, tobacco, some barn. Good balance and texture, long, etheral finish. Full peak. 92-93

Popped and poured. Clear, medium golden color, very advanced. Nose with ripe warm fruit, nice, but not as complex as expected.
Elegant, racy acidity that is a bit unbalanced, fruit is not that clean, beautiful mineral core, fresh. Lacks a bit the tension and energy I am always admiring in Egon Müller's Kabinett. Medium finish. Probably not a very well stored bottle? 89-90

Popped and poured. Quite consistent with my previous bottle, just with a bit less enthusiasm :)
Clear, deep golden amber color. Complex, botrytized nose, with honey, exotic fruit and spices. On the palate sweet, very advanced, very lively acidity, good tension and density, exotic fruit, botrytis, creamy. Long, medium complex finish. Drink up. 91

Corked. What a pitty! Behind the cork very precise, focused and with a great structure.

2017 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Saint-Aubin Le Banc Blanc 92 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Saint-Aubin
Popped and poured. Clear, pale yellow color. Muted nose, that needed time, air and temperature. Very elegant, juicy, beautiful salty-mineral core, fresh with some clean green apple and pear. Good precision and tension. With some air and temperature it gained some wait, got more creamy and the oak emerged. Medium+ finish. Needs more time. 91-92+
