Light gold color. Drank a glass blind over an hour. Very reductive on the nose and palate, matchstick, gunflint, are prominent, if not dominant for me. Lean, yellow-green fruits, there's some body, but lighter than I would expect. Not blowing off over an hour. I wanna like this more, but dang I wish this would come around.
Pale gold color. Drank a glass blind over an hour. Declassified Musigny Blanc from young vines. Nice nose, fresh, stone, gravel, lemon, umami with a bit of funk and mushroom. Love the savory character, nice texutre, tart lemon custard. Certainly drink younger than its age, seemd quite vibrant and well poised. 91+ to 92pts.
Medium dark red to dark red color with a 6-7mm transition to a 2mm clear edge. PNP, drank a glass over 2 hours. Starts out very well; prominent red and blue fruits, cherry, blueberry, strawberries, funk, damp earth, cured meats and touch of leather. The palate brings the red fruits; cherry, strawberry, with blue fruit emergoing as the palate seems to build, earth, cured meats, leather, medium grained tannins. This does fade noticeably after about 45 to 60 minutes and shows brown sugar and onion soup notes. Over the first 30 to 45 minutes, really nice. 92+pts at peak.
Very dark red/purple color. PNP, drank a glass over 2 hours. This came out of the gate retty ready to play tonight. Bold, with impressive fruit and concentration; ripe red berries, cassis, lacquer, earthy, truffle, a lttle syrupy and dense on the palate with plush tannins, scorched earth and excellent length. I keep saying this is in a nice spot, but it is only going to get better over time.
Dark red color. PNP, drank a glass plus over 2 hours. Just gorgeous again; the nose brings so much leather, funk, pencil shavings and fine tobacco; red and black fruits, cassis, raspberry, silky texture and medium plus body. The tannins are plush as is the overall feel, so well balanced, with a touch of chokecherry on the finish. Just splendid and probably at or near peak.
Very dark red/purple color. PNP, small pour. This was tough after all the aged wines. Big, and so young at this point, oak, cassis, full bodied, grippy tannins, a little on the medicinal side. There's plenty here, but it just isn't ready to drink. Score reserved, current impression, 90-91pts. Revisit in 3(+) years.
Deep gold color. Drank a glass over 30 minutes. Ripe and dense, lots of brown sugar, tanerine, pineapple, citrus zest, ultra creamy and untuous, honey pot, spice, viscous and long. Still good acidity and energy. Nice! 93+ to 94pts.
