    Slightly earthier than Ch Bouscaut, black fruit, cherry, some coffee notes, chocolate, heavy notes, licorice

  • 2019 Château La Mission Haut-Brion

    Bir ripe and juicy in the nose, some darker fruit notes, coffee, chocolate, some liqueur notes, licorice, elegant, the oak gets more upfront with more air in the glass

  • 2019 Château Malartic-Lagravière

    the wine feels ripe, soft fruit, elegant, fluid, the oak just provides a pedestal
    palate is a couple of steps back, oakier than the nose, angular tannins, a touch warm, coffee, some bitter notes, very dry, med finish, needs time

    Heavily based on pyrazine notes (not itself a bad thing), red and black fruit, nice oak frame, sweet spice notes

  • 2019 Château Marquis de Terme

    Very different, overripe, coffee flavors, liqueur flavored chocolate bits, there are some oxidative notes here that are also strange.
    Palete showing med body, black and blue fruit, nice tannins, med finish.
    Seems weird, out of place and simply lacking depth

    The wine shows a lot of black fruit flavors in the nose, some floral notes, there is a fine stalk note adding freshness and elegance too.

    Very youthful, you can feel the warmth more as it expands in the glass

    Amazing depth of fruit, blue and black fruit, gentle and highly extracted, floral notes, showing some fine stalk hints elevating the fruit, the oak is nowhere to be found
    Palate is as glorious as the nose, with balancing acidity, black fruit, full body, long persistent finish, textbook tannins, absolutely brilliant
