Mid-gold in colour. Nose quite tight, some honney and mineral. Good attack, quite rich and rounded. Drops off in the middle but returns with quite a subtle but persistent finish, accacia blossom, mineral. Nose becomes quite oaky after time in glass. ***1/2

Similar colour to the 2000. Mineral, quite meaty nose, almost a touch of bacon fat that carries through to the attack. Mineral, some oak. Decent weight and length. Becoming quite spiicy on the nose. Currently the most toasty, almost exotic, of the three. Excellent. ****1/2

Cleaner nose, a touch of pink grapefruit and smoke. Cleaner and leaner on palate too. Good grapefruit acidity on the finish, almost too much. Quite long. Relatively light-textured at this stage. ***

Double-decanted 3 hrs. Lovely nose, smells like Burgundy. Mid to full garnet. A touch of cabbage in with the sous-bois. Also a slight volatility on the nose, lifted. Light, quite delicate, slight meatiness but lacking depth, compelxity and a bit of oomph. **1/2

Slightly more volatile nose, quite pruney. Positive attack, sweet fruit, quite rounded and together, then a nicely dry finish. OK. Nose becomes quite balsalmicy after a while. ***

Again, good colour. Slightly obdurate at the moment. Possibly a little on the cool side but there is a slight spritziness apparent on the nose too. Is this OK? No, a dirty-barrel feel to it. Possibly TCA stripping the fruit, not sure what the problem is but this is an off bottle. Bother, my bottle, sorry folks!

Slightly more red in colour. Fragrant, cherry-tinged. Silky. Nice depth and energy. Lovely wine. Mineral finish. Still quite taut. ***(*1/2)

Full garnet. Slightly curious, lactic nose. Swampy cabbage nose. Metallic, cabbage palate. I really hope this is faulty. No. With the veal this improves immeasureably **? Still not convinced. No, gone again once the plates hhave been cleared. Not pleasant and hopefully not representative. I note others round the table liked this.

Fuller colour. Rich, harmonious nose. Velvety, smooth, rounded on the palate. Plush even, then a fairly dry finish. ***

Similar to the 91 in colour and nose. Slightly leaner than the 91, still a little grippy tannin on the finish. A touch of licquorish. Promising. ***(*)

More garnet in colour. Nose slightly meatier. Quite light on the attack, a touch of caramel. Moderate length. Smooth. This is decent. ****

A powerful nose, full and intoxicating. Silky, quite tight, possibly needs a while. **(**)

Nice nose, slightly meaty, slightly sweet. Sweet fruited attack. Still needs time. Good though. ****

More mellow, meaty, quite deep nose. Smooth, plush, velvety, certainly one of the most attractive from the off. This is very decent indeed. ****1/2

Oaky, full nose. Quite ripe. Fruity, some oak. Youthfull. A little drying on the finish. No, actually this is very drying, a bit better with food, but even so. **1/2?

En magnum. Very primary nose. Plum, vanilla, damson and mulberry. Quite fruity infact. Purpley red. Smooth, sweet-fruited attack. Hard to tell, but could well be very decent, possibly a bit modern? I have no reference point for this. Very good though. **(**)

Mid yellow. Slightly funky nose. Sweet, slightly cellar-damp edge. Mild TCA? No, I think this is ok and is quite decent. Lacks some complexity but decent. ***1/2

Pale gold. Pear-juice VA nose. Quite overpowering. Good acidity and nicely sweet. Nose is just a little too distinctive for me though. **(*)

En magnum. Lovely nose, accacia, honey, brioche. TCA on palate. After 10 mins or so TCA evident though less obvious on nose too. Shame.
