They Cut Down the Old Pine Tree, by Curly Ray Cline, backed by Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys. I can't believe I only just discovered this 1972 album.

dj plusone always pulls out some awesome music.
Just listening to Spoon now.
Also been listening to the soundtrack from La La Land about 2030 times in a row because my daughter keeps putting it on.
This could be the new Frozen.

Curly Ray Cline looks like he played with Murph and the MagicTones.

My kids' current favorite is the soundtrack to 'Hamilton.' I'm not complaining.

Eddie, you can resize the image to smaller dimensions if you edit it in Photobucket.

I also have a photo-resizing utility on my computer, but that's more trouble than I wanted to take.

Y'all check out this video....great music and dancing. Stirs my Celtic blood.

Big Sciota

When I was in college, I was in a performing folk-dance group. We had a lot of moments like this.

Released on this day in 1973.

Yesterday, J. Geils himself passed away at 71.

Safe journey, John.

I imagine the London crew dressing like this when they get together.

Or maybe this:

If I played Angry Birds while hooked up to the car's Bluetooth (waiting for my wife) so I could hear that jam they play, does it count as my Music Mix? That tune rocks!
