Listening to this, as Allan Holdsworth passed away a few days ago at 70. Phenomenal guitarist, who I was lucky enough to see twice in concert.

Billboard Magazine obit.

After watching The Leftovers Se 3 Ep 2 last night I had to listen to a few songs by the Wu-Tang Clan. Not my usual cup of tea but it fit the mood after such a strange series.

Um, this Star Wars-ified rerecording of Sgt. Pepper's. Very clever. I couldn't even guess how many hours of work went into this.

I've been really enjoying the sound track from Pulp Fiction. Gotta love the Chuck Berry, Dusty Springfield and Ricky Nelson as well as Urge Overkill.

Besides that it was a NIN kind of day. Pretty Hate Machine and Closer.

New Orleans Music on Pandora. Very nice dinner music. Now only if that bottle of '06 Canoe Ridge Cabernet hadn't been corked...

Something old (but zippy) for me, to drive away the rainy day blues and think about hot sunny southern weather (we happen to be going to New Orleans in July)....King Oliver.

Chris Cornell.... a LOT of Chris Cornell.

I'm really bummed. He was the perfect smoky voice for the Seattle grunge genre.

French music is misunderstood .... its about the words, not the music. Here is Brel (who is, of course, Belgian) with a great song.
Amaziing lyrics. French and English lyrics subtitled......
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCrPS14cZ1Y

Plus, right at the end they obviously had an English audience....

Currently streaming at NPR...this one didn't grab my interest as immediately as their previous albums did, but it is indeed growing on me.
