Bought last week at auction but picking up this week: 2 x 2007 Bruno Giacosa Barolo Riserva Rocche del Falletto

Nice.

And expected given your screen name!

Barolo (and nebbiolo in general) is just one of my favorites but perhaps the most persistent favorite since I started getting serious with wine. As a person in his 30's, I'm trying to collect more (especially pre-2007 Bruno Giacosa) to lay down for the long haul.

A case and a half of Bedrock. A little bit of each Heritage, some cab, and Griffins Lair Syrah, and a limerick lane. 94 bottles in my pending list now.supposed to be the year that purchases equal consumption.

Welcome to the forum!
All I bought was LuLu
And some Sicilian olive oil...
And some Burgundy...

Really dialed back the buying this year, but picked up a little over the last month.

I need a Moratorium with stronger bars. Is there a Solitary Confinement Moratorium?

Been really into Rhone whites recently, so decided to take a flyer on a newer producer (at least only recently imported to U.S.) from yesterday's Flat Iron offer

3 x Domaine Aléofane, Crozes-Hermitage Blanc, 2016

The winemaker is a woman, Natacha Chave, sister to Yann Chave - but farming her own property. Not notes in CT - so we'll see how it goes.

2 x 1997 Fattoria di Felsina Berardenga Chianti Classico Riserva

Because....

Just got back from dinner where we had our second to last 375ml of 1997 Fattoria di Felsina Berardenga Chianti Classico Riserva. Every bottle we open just gets better and better.

.... only this time wine-searcher led me to 750ml bottles at Benchmark. Works for me because I already had some '02 Prüm on weather hold there.

It is freezing here in Europe and the best way for me to deal with it is to dream about the summer. And summer means rosé. I have a few bottles left from last year (mostly Italians rosé) that I will supplement with:

6 x 2016 Languedoc rosé, Qu'es Aquo, Mas Cal Demoura
3 x 2016 Languedoc, Ze Rozé, Pas de l'Escalette
2 x NV VdF, L'épatant antidote à la chaleur du Causse, Combel La Serre

And then some bottles for the cellar:
2 x 2009 Vin San Giusto a Rentennano (37.5 cl)
2 x 2013 Sangiovese di Romagna Riserva, Pietramora, Zerbina
2 x 2013 Bourgueil Clos Nouveau, Dom. du Bel Air
2 x 2013 Barolo Cerretta, Luigi Baudana (Vajra)
2 x 2013 Barolo Bricco delle Viole, Vajra
3 x 2013 Malbec Gualtallary, Altos las Hormigas

So far this year, I added 35 bottles and drunk 35 bottles. A much welcomed development as last year the proportion was four bottles in, one out.

that's a very nice producer. love the wines.
Their 100% merlot : San Giusto a Rentennano La Ricolma Toscana IGT is really good too.

Hmm, I don't know anything about that producer, but I do remember seeing that label show up at my local Costco within the last month...probably just the Chianti Classico. May be worth swinging by since a new month's budget is opening up.

Plus a few others I think.

Went back and ordered 9 more to round out an even case. This was delicious and a great QPR - finding more and more that we are reaching for white wine to have with dinner on weeknights. Big problem to correct as the cellar is predominantly red. Damn these palate shifts - just when you think you settle into one thing, you get drawn to another.

Strangely enough a full 750 of 1998 Chateau Guiraud Sauternes, and 2 .375s of the 2003. We drink Sauternes so rarely, this will be a good opportunity to try out our CoraVin!

Very true! That, and a little foie gras, and I'm in heaven!

The last 2-3 months have been a little heavy on wines that stretched the budget for us, so it's been time to focus on daily drinkers lately - several testers and a couple of restocks:

Costco:
2x 2015 Michele Chiarlo Barbera d'Asti Le Orme
3x 2016 Kirkland Signature Côtes du Rhône Villages
1x 2015 Domaine Lafage Côtes du Roussillon Bastide Miraflors
1x NV Kirkland Signature Asolo Prosecco Superiore (tried this out with an upcoming party in mind - surprisingly good for the price, but not what I was looking for)

Grocery Outlet (grand total = ~$40):
6x 2013 Et Fille Pinot Noir Willamette Valley
1x 2013 Feudi di San Gregorio Primitivo di Manduria
1x 2005 Taron Rioja Reserva
