I realized this week that I've had a few bottles sitting at K&L for too long, so I filled up a case with some miscellaneous <$20 reds:

2x 2010 Château Brillette Moulis
2x 2012 Ebner-Ebenauer St. Laurent Alte Reben Weinviertel
2x 2013 Famille Perrin / Perrin & Fils Vinsobres Les Cornuds
2x 2015 Domaine des Ruettes Saumur-Champigny
1x 2015 Château de Javernand Chiroubles Vieilles Vignes

Should be pretty much done for February now.

Ordered a case of 2015 The Foundry Grenache Blanc, SA White Wine of the Year by Platter’s. At £96 per 12 IB, what could possibly go wrong?

Wow
It's worth that if even if you only use it for cooking.

Absolutely no wine. TJs Lager and Pilsner for Dear Husband.

A few releases/allocations to consider later this month, plus some other opportunities within the next month to add to cellar. So working on enjoyment of current inventory for now.

Cheers!

I went for 3x 750 of the 2015 VHR. Could have bought 3x more and requested even more beyond that, and I found this very hard because I'm pretty sure I will love the wine. But at the same time, I have a lot of wine and want to drink a variety of wines, not always the same producer.

And VHR is expensive compared to a wine like Pegau CDP, which I love too, or Cerbaiona Brunello...

So, I might regret the choice, sort of like you know you should order the salad, and you do, but you kind of wish you had taken the steak and fries. Now I feel virtuous, but when I drink the last bottle of the VHR a few years from now, I'll be kicking myself...

Don't worry Ken - more VHR will be available on the secondary market.

.... with unknown provenance at 3X the price, of course.

Sauternes is the word at least today -

2 x 2005 Château La Tour Blanche Sauternes
1 x 1986 Château Guiraud
1 x 1989 Château Suduiraut

With Tampa Wine Spring Break III coming up this week, might need a little something to end the meals

Interesting! Let us know how the wine is doing -- some aged Sangiovese evolve into really fantastic mature wines.

'97 was a good year for Italian wine. I would be interested in your opinion as well.

2 Bottles of 2005 Pichon Baron. Curse you email blast !! I am so weak. If the 2005 is close as good as the 1989 I had recently I will be thrilled.

8 x 2010 Felsina Fontalloro
3 x 2010 Poggio Il Castellare BdM
1 x 2007 Lisini Riserva BdM

It would have been a full case of the Felsina if the fill levels were better on the other 4 bottles. The store had one of the lowest prices on Wine Searcher, and with the extra savings for buying a case it brought the per-bottle cost below my "clean'em out" threshold. So to get the 10% discount, we rounded out the case with the others. We just had '04 Poggio Il Castellare in NYC so we knew we liked it, and the Lisini Reserve was one that I've been wanting to try. Plus I have a hard time saying no to '07 BdM.... and it was on sale!

2 bottles, Kosta-Browne PN, Santa Lucia Highlands. Allocated plenty of others, but stuck to 2 we have not experienced. More $ for other vintners.

Total incoming now = 23. Not too bad. Within the da$$ budget, too.

Cheers!
