Friends in Houston are texting me that it's getting up to 80°F this afternoon.

Here in Kansas City, we had 22°F at 8:00 a.m., which will be the "high" for the day.

Snow coming down now & is supposed to continue all day, with a forecast accumulation of 3-5 inches.

Tomorrows Chief's game will start out at 14°F and finish at 10°F. Not an enclosed stadium.

What crazy weather. It's almost 40 degrees warmer today than it was at this time yesterday. I burnt a fire in the fireplace all day yesterday. Today, I might have to open a window!

Got back yesterday from a (relatively) warm Taiwan to a Dallas of 16 degrees with a 1 degree wind chill. Today is definitely a day to stay inside...Christmas tree lights on, a fire in the fireplace, make a nice beef stew, pop a big red wine, watch football, and relax...

We had 0°F (-17.8°C) this morning.

Reached a "high" of 10°F (-12.2°C).

Ouch.

Huh?? Not here. High temp of 4 degrees today and currently it's sitting at -12 degrees at 9pm.

I might add, i did go running outside when it was 3 degrees & sunny and was overall happy with how i felt. 5 miles in under 40 minutes around our snow covered streets.

Sounds like time for red wine by a fireplace Karl. Relatives in IN report similar conditions. Not usually as severe as Chicagoland....

Warm Holiday Cheers!

Well, I'm glad I'm not up there. I used to be pretty hardy....I've spent a lot of time in duck blinds in that sort of weather. But now that I'm in my 50s I can't take it anymore. I used to wonder why people retired to Florida. Now I know.

We left PDX on Friday for Detroit, light snow and 20F, same when we got there, 35F on Saturday for a wedding, Sunday back to 20F, returned to Portland Sunday and the same when we got home. It's like we had two cross country journeys and stayed home. Our winter may be over and theirs is just starting. 47F today, I'll take OR any day.

Starting a new piece of work up in Toronto. I expect to get a whole new level of respect for the 'mild' NY winter.

Frozen - The Reality Series....

I guess Europe is getting a taste of USA Midwestern winter this year. Although we just received a dusting of snow tonight, we've been mostly snow free this winter. Plenty of cold air....

Made the drive from Castle Pines to Ft. Collins today, wine group event every few months.

On the way up, while passing through downtown Denver, the temp was 67F.

Oops, wrong thread!
